This warranty excludes coverage for batteries, crystals, cases, straps, bracelets, normal cosmetic wear, or any damage resulting from accidents, water exposure beyond rated limits, or unauthorized servicing, which will immediately void the warranty. In the event of a covered defect within the two-year period, your timepiece will be repaired or replaced free of charge at our discretion. That year marks the birth of Rodolfo Felipe “Rudy” Velarde, John’s grandfather, and the beginning of the story carried by every Legacy watch.
Rudy was a rancher, businessman and community leader near Nacimiento and Cuba, New Mexico. He helped bring electricity and clean water to his neighbors, gave land for places the community needed and built a life defined by useful work.
More than a century later, John carries that example to the watchmaking bench.

The historic Velarde mark once identified Rudy’s livestock. Today, it appears on John’s watches and the work produced at his bench.
Its meaning has evolved, but its purpose remains: it identifies something made under the Velarde name.
That makes it more than a logo. It is John’s promise that the work bearing it has been considered, respected, and made with intention.

Lumed hands and dial It is fitted with the FTS Americhron 7000-series automatic movement a high-beat frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). It is fully jeweled with 22 jewels, delivers a power reserve of approximately 40 to 42 hours, and maintains an accuracy rating of +/- 20 seconds per day.
